Weekend Fun Picks!
Posted in Uncategorized by Jetgirl at 9:17 pm | No Comments »

Was this weekend not quite all the joy and excitement it was meant to be? Quick! Play these games and salvage your time off before its over!

Eets!
Stylish and adorable, this game is vaguely lemmings-like but without the option to blow the little sucker up. It’s more forgiving than Lemmings too, and pleasantly supports easily iterative strategies.

Shapo
Ignore the ridulously stupid name and look instead to the interesting mechanic of trying to balance balls of different materials. It quickly becomes very difficult, but always in a “no really, I can do this!” kind of way, which I find immensely satisfying.

Chiko: Accidental Alien
This is a Flash based adventure game aimed at a slightly younger crowd. The art style is bizarre but fun, and reminds me of the Yellow Submarine animated movie. I haven’t played it in its entirety, but I am enjoying it so far. In addition to the “find the thing, use it here” variety of adventure game puzzles, mini-puzzle games are thrown into the mix for some welcome variety, and some activities are decidely non-game-like but a heckuva lotta fun anyway.
